Agriculture is a part of all of our lives. From the cotton jeans you put on this morning, to the eggs in your breakfast burrito (and the tortilla, sausage and salsa), to the leather on your car seat--all of it was grown or raised by a farmer or rancher somewhere.
American agriculture has taken an image beating lately, and as an agricultural communicator, I take it upon myself to try to defend our industry. My parents and my husband's parents are wheat and cattle producers, so when I hear an attack on my family's livlihood, it gets personal.
I love communications and I love the agriculture industry. This is my way to let my proud voice be heard in my little corner of the world.
